After an incredible 101 years, we have made the difficult decision to permanently close Army & Navy. The economic challenges of COVID-19 have proven insurmountable. This time last year we were celebrating the centenary of Army & Navy — a company my grandfather started in 1919 — and we were looking forward to the years ahead. Now we are closing a company that spanned across eight communities in Western Canada.
I am so appreciative of all our loyal customers who have been the heart and soul of the business. I look forward to continuing to support our communities, focusing on the philanthropic work of Face The World Foundation, as well as my family, which has recently grown by one. From my family to yours, we wish you health and prosperity as we all move forward.
In 1991, Army & Navy President & CEO Jacqui Cohen started Face The World Foundation.
The impact has been profound. With over 400 charitable organizations served, Face The World has raised over $20 million and provided support to the most vulnerable members of our communities, with a focus on organizations that support battered women, abused children, the elderly and the homeless.
